JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Concessions Worker Status: Seasonal/Part-Time
Department: Aquatic Center
Summary:
Prepare and sell food/goods and keep accurate records of goods sold (register) as well as welcome and thank customers at the Aquatic Center.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for all product and money while concession stand is open; food preparation, making sure everything is prepared according to the County Health Code (training will be provided); responsible for the whole concession stand area; make sure no horse play or inappropriate behavior is occurring, be professional; keeping concession stand clean and orderly; responsible for all sales (cash register must equal all products sold); answer questions for customers and refer difficult customers to the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager; never leave concession area unattended.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Know how to run a cash register or the ability to learn; run microwave, popcorn machine and other appliances or the ability to learn; ability to work in a small area at a quick/fast pace; ability to work/serve with people both youth and adult; ability to deal with sales (money), count back money, give correct change, etc.; exercise good judgment and common sense in any given situation; knowledge and ability to follow the directions of the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager; certified Food Safe Handler or ability to get certified; certified in CPR and First Aid or ability to get certified; ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, talk, hear, grasp and lift (up to 50 lbs.) in any given situation; ability to work indoors/outdoors in conditions where temperatures may reach 100 degrees or more for more than an hour.

Hours:
Daytime and evening hours are required. Regular operating hours are between the hours of 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 7 days a week. Scheduled pool parties may extend hours beyond regular operating hours. Schedule will vary based upon need.
Minimum Age: 14 years of age
Starting Wage: $9.00/hour
